Vocal coaching isn't one-size-fits-all—because no two voices are the same.
Whether you’re just starting out or refining a highly developed instrument, my approach meets you where you are and gives you a clear, structured path forward.
At the core of my teaching are three principles:
Each session is tailored to your voice, your goals, and your experience level. For some students, that means building fundamentals like pitch, tone, and confidence. For others, it means refining control, expanding range, or developing a distinct artistic voice.
Lessons may include:
vocal coordination and strength, range development, tone and resonance, power without strain, pitch accuracy, stylistic elements across genres, performance skills, and creative work like improvisation or songwriting.
For students who want it, we can also incorporate musicianship skills such as reading music, working with lead sheets, the Nashville Number System, ear training, and music theory.
We begin with an initial assessment and build a personalized plan to support steady, measurable progress.
My teaching blends artistry with a deep understanding of vocal function, drawing from anatomical principles and methods similar to Estill Voice Training and approaches used in systems like the Roger Love Method. I’ve also developed a signature companion guide, A Singer’s Grimoire, which you’ll receive as part of your initial assessment. This resource reinforces the work we do together, giving you a clear framework, targeted exercises, and a way to track and deepen your progress between lessons.
Because everyone learns differently, I adapt each lesson to your learning style—so what you’re working on makes sense, feels natural, and actually sticks.
Whether your goal is to sing comfortably, build confidence, or perform at a high level, sessions are designed to help you develop a voice that is healthy, reliable, and truly your own.
These are some of the programs I've worked with in the past. Whether you want certification for levels of study, competition experience, or a professional feather in your cap I can help direct you to the right place. Collaborating with one of these programs can help to clarify goals and structure for more serious students.
“Sing with me, sing for the year. Sing for the laughter, sing for the tear. Sing with me if it's just for today, Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away”
